Our Commitment

Aruwo™ is built for founders across Africa and beyond — people from different countries, languages, industries, and backgrounds, united by the ambition to build something meaningful. We are committed to making this platform a space where every founder feels welcomed, respected, and safe to create.

This Code of Conduct applies to everyone who uses Aruwo™: founders, team members, template creators, resellers, and anyone participating in any Aruwo™ community, communication channel, or event.

1. Who This Applies To

This Code of Conduct covers:

• All users of the Aruwo™ platform at aruwo.dev
• Members of Aruwo™ community spaces (forums, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp groups, social media)
• Participants in Aruwo™ events, webinars, and office hours
• Contributors to the Aruwo™ template marketplace
• Reseller partners and their clients

2. Our Standards

2.1 Be Respectful

Treat every person on this platform with dignity. This means:

• Engaging with others' ideas honestly and constructively, even when you disagree
• Respecting that founders are at different stages — some are technical, some are not, some are building for the first time
• Avoiding language or behavior that demeans, belittles, or dismisses others based on who they are or where they come from

2.2 Be Inclusive

Aruwo™ serves founders across 54 African countries and a global diaspora. Our community reflects enormous diversity in culture, language, religion, gender, age, and experience. We expect all users to:

• Welcome founders regardless of country, tribe, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, or level of technical skill
• Avoid assumptions about what someone knows or can do based on where they are from
• Communicate in ways that are accessible — not everyone's first language is English

2.3 Build in Good Faith

Aruwo™ exists to help people build real businesses that create real value. We expect users to:

• Use the platform with honest intent to build legitimate products and services
• Represent their projects, companies, and identities accurately
• Not use the platform to deceive, manipulate, or exploit other users or their customers

2.4 Protect Privacy

Respect other people's information. This means:

• Not sharing, posting, or distributing personal information about other users without their consent
• Not using platform features to extract or expose data about third parties
• Not building applications designed to surveil, track, or exploit individuals without their knowledge

2.5 Support Each Other

The Aruwo™ community is at its best when founders help each other. We encourage:

• Sharing knowledge, feedback, and encouragement in community spaces
• Giving honest, constructive feedback on templates, ideas, and products
• Celebrating other founders' milestones — this space has room for everyone to win

3. Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are not tolerated on Aruwo™ under any circumstances:

3.1 Harassment and Abuse

• Threatening, intimidating, or abusing any user — publicly or privately
• Persistent unwanted contact after someone has asked you to stop
• Publishing or threatening to publish someone's private information ("doxxing")
• Sexual harassment, unwanted advances, or inappropriate sexual content directed at any person

3.2 Discrimination and Hate

• Discriminatory jokes, slurs, or commentary targeting any person or group based on race, ethnicity, nationality, tribe, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age
• Content that dehumanizes or calls for violence against any group of people
• Using the platform to spread ethnonationalist, supremacist, or sectarian ideology

3.3 Dishonesty and Impersonation

• Impersonating another person, business, or Aruwo™ itself
• Misrepresenting your identity, qualifications, or the nature of your product
• Submitting fraudulent templates or marketplace listings
• Creating fake reviews, ratings, or social proof

3.4 Exploitation

• Predatory behavior targeting less experienced founders
• Soliciting money, investment, or personal information from community members under false pretenses
• Using community spaces to run scams, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent investment schemes

3.5 Spam and Disruption

• Unsolicited mass promotion in community spaces
• Repeatedly posting off-topic content or disrupting community discussions
• Coordinated attempts to manipulate platform rankings, ratings, or metrics

4. Conduct in the AI Builder

When using the Aruwo™ AI Builder:

• Do not attempt to manipulate the AI into generating harmful, deceptive, or prohibited content
• Do not submit other people's confidential business information or personal data as part of prompts without authorization
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or extract Aruwo's AI system configuration
• Do not use generated code to build applications that violate this Code of Conduct or our Platform Rules

5. Conduct in Community Spaces

In any Aruwo™-affiliated community space (Discord, Slack, WhatsApp community, event chat, social media):

• Keep conversations relevant to building, launching, and growing startups
• Do not post unsolicited promotional content or affiliate links
• Do not solicit investment or co-founders aggressively or repeatedly from other members
• Report concerning or abusive behavior to community moderators rather than escalating publicly

6. Marketplace and Template Conduct

Template creators and marketplace participants must:

• Accurately describe what templates do and what technologies they use
• Not copy, clone, or resell other creators' templates without explicit permission
• Respond to legitimate buyer support requests within a reasonable timeframe
• Not embed tracking, analytics, or data collection code in templates without clear disclosure
• Not use marketplace listings to advertise external services deceptively

7. Reporting

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct:

For platform-related violations: Email conduct@aruwo.dev with a description of the incident, relevant screenshots or evidence, and the username or profile of the person involved.

For community space violations: Use the report function in the relevant community platform, or email conduct@aruwo.dev.

For urgent safety concerns: Email security@aruwo.dev for anything involving threats, doxxing, or immediate harm.

All reports are treated confidentially. We do not publicly identify reporters. Retaliation against anyone who makes a good-faith report is itself a violation of this Code of Conduct.

8. Enforcement

Aruwo™ reviews all reports and reserves the right to take the following actions depending on the nature and severity of the violation:

We aim to be fair and consistent. Where possible, we will explain the action taken and provide an opportunity to respond. For severe violations involving safety, we may act immediately without prior notice.

Appeals: If you believe an enforcement action was applied unfairly, email legal@aruwo.dev within 14 days with your account details and explanation. We will review and respond within 14 business days.

9. Aruwo's Own Conduct

We hold ourselves to the same standard. Aruwo™ commits to:

• Being transparent about changes to this platform and its policies
• Treating all user reports seriously and confidentially
• Not using founder data, startup ideas, or generated code for purposes beyond providing the Services
• Building features that serve African founders equitably, not just the most profitable segments
• Acknowledging mistakes when we make them and fixing them

10. Changes

We may update this Code of Conduct as the community grows. We will announce changes via the platform and email with at least 14 days' notice before they take effect.
